Guwahati and its Surroundings:

Situated on the bank of the river Brahmaputra, the fast growing city is the North Eastern India.Guwahati is well connected by air and rail with New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkatta. The famous Shakti Temple of Mother Goddess Kamakhya is located on the famous Nilachal Hills , the ancient Shiva Temple of Umananda ia situated on the Peakok Island in the river Brahmaputra., the Nabagraha Temple ( the temple of Nine Planets), Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, Balaji Temple, Vasisthashram ( founded by Famous Sage Vasistha amidst idyllic natural Panorama), the state Museum and State Zoo Cum Botanical Garden.

Kaziranga National Park :

The first National Park in Assam with an area of 430 Sq Km.It is the area of Great Indian One horned Rhinoceros (Unicornous)The Landscape of Kaziraga is of sheer forest , elephant Grass, rugged reds, mallow marshes and shallow pots.

Orang ( Rajiv Gandhi National Park ) :
A miniature Kaziranga, covering an area of 72 sq km. The animals to be seen in this park are one horned Rhinoceros, Elephant, Leopard, Sambar , Barking Deer, Tiger, varieties of water birds, Green Pigeon.

Nameri National Park :

Situated at the foot hills of the eastern Himalayas Nameri is the third National Park of the state, covering an area of 200 sq km, Nameri is the treasure house of many endangered species of wildlife like the white winged white duck, Masheer, Tiger, Leopard , Clouded Leopard, Sambar, Elephant Gaur, Indian Wild Dog, Four varieties of Hornbill and varieties of birds. There is a potasali eco camp and two tourist lodges.

Bhalukpung :
Situated in the border of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam, Bhalukpung is known for its unique natural beauty and rafting. Far from the madding crowd, Bhalukpung is a place of peace and tranquility. It is the entry point to Bomdila and Tawang. Potasali is nearest eco camp.

Majuli :

The biggest riverine island in the world, Majuli is famour for its Satras or Vaishanava Monastries which are the center of learning art and culture.

Digboi :

Assam Travel VacationsSurrounded by numerous tea gardens and mystic blue hills, Digboi is a major oil town. One of the oldest refineries of the world exist here.

Haflong :

Up in the rugged terrains stands Assams only hill station Halflong, where one can see the rainbow down below. It is the district Headquarter of North Cachar Hill Dist

Jatinga :

Jatinga Jatinga, which requires no introduction for its bird phenomena, sweet and tasty oranges and above all the hospitality of the villagers 9 Km from Halflong, is famous for the bird's death mystery. The migratory birds come during the month of August to November and it becomes ornithologist paradise from the elevated watchtower one can see them yielding their death and their little plumage dropping down.

Meghalaya -

Meghalaya Adventure TourismMeghalaya, the abode of clouds, has been on the tourist map of India for the last several years. It is the state with the highest level of rain falls in the country. It is also the only state in India with an Austro-Asiatic society. The state has abundant natural attractions including forests and wildlife apart from its scenic beauty. The capital city, Shillong, is known as the "Scotland of the East". It is a renowned hill station with bracing climate, pine-scented walks, an excellent golf course and enchanting Himalayan scenery.

Meghalaya is also famous for its natural healers. The Khasis and Garos being ancient races have an intimate knowledge of secret herbs which can cure several diseases even after all conventional methods have failed. There are also a number of fairs and festivals which can be themed into holiday packages alongwith other elements like nature and adventure. Meghalaya has several significant advantages over other tourist destinations in the North East as it has a unique blend of different cultures, relatively strong infrastructure like roads, hotel rooms and transport facilities. East Khasi Hills
Besides the capital of Shillong which is world renowned for its beautiful greenery, Lady Hydary Park, Umium Lake, Bidon Bishop fall, Shillong Peak artificial lakes and the golf links (Gleneagles of the East), the district has a powerful attraction in Cherrapunjee (Highest rainfall in the world). The bird sanctuary at nearby Thangkarang with the awesome view of the imposing waterfalls set against the backdrop of Bangladesh plains is a bonanza for tourists, both foreign and domestic.

Guwahati - Shillong - 100 Km
Day - 1 : Travel Line tour manager will welcome you at Guwahati Airport/ Rly. St. After your arrival we will drive to Shillong-'The Scotland of the East'. The capital of the state of Meghalaya. Reaching Shillong after a drive of approximately 3 hours, we check in at hotel Pinewood or similar, freshen up & after a light meal we go out sight seeing.
Shillong - Cherapunjee - Shillong

Day - 2: Early in the morning, we will take you to Cherrapunjee (65 Km), famed for being the wettest place in the world. After a drive of two hours amid pine trees and mists we reach Cherrapunjee. Cherrapunjee possesses some exotic waterfalls and impressive limestone caves. At Cherrapunjee, we visit Nohkhalikai Falls, Mawsmai Falls, Thangkharang Park and Mawsmai cave which is one of the 100 odd limestone caves in Meghalaya. Afterwards, it is time for lunch. After lunch, we leave Cherrapunjee for Barapani Lake. Enroute we visit Elephant falls and Shillong peak. At Barapani Lake we check in at Orchid Lake Resort.
Shillong - Kaziranga - 295 Km

Day - 3: Early morning enjoy water sports on Barapani Lake. After lunch, we take a 7 hour drive to Kaziranga National Park, the home of the Great Indian One Horned Rhinoceros. Other residents of the park include elephants, Indian bison, four species of deer, tiger, leopard, capped langur, wild boar, hoolock gibbon, hornbill, ibis, cormorant, egret, heron, fishing eagle and a host of migratory birds including Pelicans. We check in at our own cottages or similar like G L Resort
Kaziranga

Day - 4 : We start our Jungle Safari on elephant back early in the morning in the central/Western range of the park, for one hour. Afterwards, back to hotel and breakfast. After breakfast we take you deep inside the central range of the park in a jeep. Then, we come back for lunch and rest for two hours. Again in the late afternoon, we take you inside the central range for a sunset view of the park.
Kaziranga

Day - 5 : Early in the morning, we go for a Jeep Safari in the Central/eastern range of the park, famous for the Pelican colony. We come back for lunch and rest for two hours. In the afternoon, it's time for tea garden visits and a visit to a tribal village. (Depending on availability, we will try and organize a demonstration of Bihu dancing at the hotel in the evening).


Kaziranga - Guwahati
Day - 6 : In the morning we leave Kaziranga for Guwahati, the capital of Assam. We check in at hotel Brahmaputra Ashok or similar and take lunch. Afterwards we go for sight seeing at Guwahati.

Day -7 : Whole day sightseeing at Guwahati. (Kamakhya Temple, Assam state zoo, museum, Shankar Dev Kalashetra, Balajee Temple.) Afternoon River cruise on the Brahmaputra River.Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel.

Day-8 : After breakfast we proceed to the airport/Rly.St. for your departure flight/Train & the tour comes to an end, with Farewell by "Gamocha" ( Guest May Modify it by their requirements)
